It has a spherical neon orange body, that has red eyes with yellow pupils, and dark, reddish-violet eyebrows. It has a large mouth, and a cloud of electron-like particles surrounding it.

Atomes come in several different forms, with between one and one-hundered eighteen particles surrounding its body. Atomes are not very sapient, mostly looking for means to survive, which can involve violently self-destructing at any given moment. Before exploding, they absorb the energy from each particle surrounding them, expanding their body, only to be released in an atomic explosion. The more particles surrounding an Atome, the larger the explosion will be. Atomes have been observed to expand and shrink at will on some instances. Some Atomes become so small, they can only be visible through microscopes. Atomes with fewer particles seem to have an advantage when it comes to shrinking. Three Atomes can combine and form a Molecool.
