Wooffelz's body looks like a rounded waffle with exactly 8 holes. It also has four legs, a fluffy tail and a dog-like face, each accented with brown at the tips. They have large, sparkling eyes, and their ears have a bit of brownish fur covering them.
They constantly produce a sticky substance that tastes delightfully sweet, instantly coined as "maple syrup" by humans. They use their syrup to lubricate their body and for trapping prey. Their diet consists of essentially anything it can get its paws on, but they tend towards meat. Wooffelz travel in packs and have a great sense of camaraderie, sticking by each other, both metaphorically and sometimes literally.
Because of their uncanny resemblance to "waffles", wild humans frequently hunt for Wooffelz and enjoy snacking on them, much to their horror. They have gotten more agressive in the past few years, which has upped the humans' hunting game, furthering the Wooffelz hunting problem.
When Wooffelz have too much built-up maple syrup, it forms a large pool on their back holes and leaves the body soggy and drippy, which is very unhealthy for them and attracts more prey. A lot of creatures keep Wooffelz as companions, despite the many risks having a Wooffelz by your side they face, like their animalistic tendencies, unintentional way of attracting unwanted enemies and other health issues. They make very good partners though, with their great sense of smell, sight and direction, and the strong bonds they tend to have with their partner.
- Woofelz are dangerous and hard to catch.
